Comprehensive Mediation Services

Our mediation services are best suited for couples who still care for and respect each other, prioritize their children’s and each other’s well-being, and sincerely wish to part ways on amicable terms.

Our flat-fee mediation services typically range from $5,800 to $8,200 depending on whether or not you have children, the financial complexity of your situation, state requirements, and the level of cooperation or conflict between spouses.

Here’s what that flat fee includes—everything you need from start to finish:

  • Unlimited mediation sessions until your agreement is complete (not billed by the hour—you’ll never watch the clock or worry about runaway costs).
  • Complete drafting of your Memorandum of Understanding, meeting all case-specific requirements.
  • Comprehensive financial analysis and review, including retirement accounts, real estate, business interests, and complex asset division.
  • Professional case management, operational support, and documentation throughout your process.
  • Direct access to Divorce Mediator Joe Dillon, who brings 28 years of mediation experience, an MBA in Finance, and specialized training from Harvard, MIT, and Northwestern—plus additional experience as a divorce financial analyst.
  • Emotional support from Divorce Coach Cheryl Dillon, who helps couples navigate the emotional challenges of ending a marriage.

Your exact flat fee will be determined during your free initial consultation based on your specific situation.

Single-Issue Mediation Sessions

Sometimes the path forward isn’t blocked by everything — it’s blocked by one thing. A decision about the family home. A parenting schedule you both feel good about. A child support or spousal support arrangement that’s fair and realistic for both of you.

Single-Issue Mediation is designed for couples who have made real progress on their own but need expert guidance to work through one specific sticking point. In a single 90-minute session, Joe will help you understand your options, facilitate a productive conversation, and guide you toward an agreement you can both feel good about.

Each session includes a written summary of everything discussed and agreed upon. And if you decide full mediation is the right next step, the fee you paid applies toward our Comprehensive Mediation program.

For many couples, the family home is the most valuable — and most emotionally charged — asset in a divorce. Whether you’re trying to decide who stays, whether to sell, or how to divide the equity fairly, getting this decision right matters enormously for both of your financial futures.

In this 90-minute session, Joe will guide you through your options for your primary marital residence, help you understand the financial implications of each, and facilitate a conversation that gets you to a decision you both feel good about. At the end of your session you’ll receive a written summary of what was discussed and agreed upon — a clear record of the agreements you reached together that you can use however best serves your next steps.

This session covers one primary marital residence only. It is ideal for couples who have agreed on most aspects of their divorce but need expert guidance to work through the specifics — including buyout vs. sale vs. deferred sale, how to value the property, and how to think about dividing the equity.

If you decide that full mediation is the right path for you, the fee paid for this session will be credited toward our Comprehensive Mediation program — provided you book within 30 days of your session date.

Available to couples in all 50 states.

Note: This session does not include a formal Memorandum of Understanding. The written summary provided is not legally binding on its own — however, the agreements you reach can become legally binding once formalized through the appropriate legal process.

Creating a parenting plan that works for your children today — and grows with them as they get older — is one of the most important decisions you’ll make in your divorce. Getting the foundation right means less conflict, fewer modifications, and more stability for everyone involved.

In this 90-minute session, Joe will guide you and your spouse through the foundational elements of your parenting plan — including custody schedule, holiday and vacation arrangements, and decision-making authority — and help you reach agreements you can both build on. At the end of your session you’ll receive a written summary of what was discussed and agreed upon — a clear record of the agreements you reached together that you can use however best serves your next steps.

This session is ideal for couples who have agreed on most aspects of their divorce but need expert guidance to establish a solid parenting foundation they can both feel good about. Please note that this session is not designed for families with special needs children, whose unique circumstances require a more comprehensive approach.

Child support is one of the most misunderstood aspects of divorce. What seems like a straightforward calculation rarely is — parenting time, income, special expenses, and a host of other factors all play a role in reaching an agreement that’s fair, realistic, and sustainable for both of you.

In this 90-minute session, Joe will guide you and your spouse through the key factors that determine child support, help you understand what a fair agreement looks like given your specific circumstances, and facilitate a conversation that gets you to an agreement you can both commit to. At the end of your session you’ll receive a written summary of what was discussed and agreed upon — a clear record of the agreements you reached together that you can use however best serves your next steps.

This session is ideal for couples who have agreed on most aspects of their divorce but need expert guidance to work through child support. Please note that this session is not designed for families with special needs children, whose unique circumstances require a more comprehensive approach.

In many states, your parenting plan directly affects the child support calculation — if your parenting plan is not yet resolved, we recommend booking The Parenting Plan Session first.

If spousal support is also unresolved, The Spousal Support Session must be booked and completed first, as spousal support can affect your child support calculation as well.

If you decide that full mediation is the right path for you, the fee paid for this session will be credited toward our Comprehensive Mediation program — provided you book within 30 days of your session date.

Spousal support is one of the most misunderstood and emotionally charged issues in any divorce. What one spouse believes is fair and what the other can realistically afford are often very different numbers — and without expert guidance, those gaps can be difficult to bridge.

In this 90-minute session, Joe will help you and your spouse understand the factors that influence spousal support, work through what a fair and realistic arrangement looks like given your specific circumstances and facilitate a conversation that gets you to an agreement you can both commit to. At the end of your session you’ll receive a written summary of what was discussed and agreed upon — a clear record of the agreements you reached together that you can use however best serves your next steps.

This session is ideal for couples who have agreed on most aspects of their divorce but need expert guidance to work through spousal support. If child support is also unresolved, we offer a dedicated Child Support Session that can be booked once you’re ready — we recommend working through spousal support first.
